London Festival 2012

City of London festival is an annual festival that is held in London. It lasts for two to three weeks during the month of June and July. It comprises of mainly classical music but also includes other genres. The performances are usually held in local venues and churches etc. most of the events are free, just to attract more crowd. The streets are filled with spectators and people visiting the Festival. The festival is in its 50^th year and will start on the 24^th of June 2012 and will have its closing ceremony on the 27^th of July.

 The festival is famous cultural touch and activities like there are huge varieties of musical performances that take place at the festival, which concludes, classical and intra European musical collaborations and many more. 2012 marks the Golden Jubilee of the City Of London Festival and 50 golden pianos will placed at different parts of the city where any one go and try to show off their piano skills. Another part of the Festival is the activities it holds, colorful procession will taken out by over 1000 children. Also enjoy a nice collection of special films.

 Various special exhibitions are held that will be staged at the Goldsmith’s Hall. London’s will be stuffed with various others like the beehives and local honey that will be up for sale and to taste. With all this City Of London also brings you the dance festival with a wide range of outdoor performances. Artists from round the Europe comes here and gives their magical performances over the whole month. The festival was founded in the year 1962 and since illuminated the City Of London for over 50 golden years.
